Jack was discharged from NICU to mother/baby about 4 hours after he was born. He was fine, but because he had the cord wrapped around his neck, he was a little blue when he was born and he didn't breath on his own right away, they wanted to observe him closely for a little while.

They brought him back to me and I was in love. He was the cutest little guy. He looked exactly like Brian initially and I sort of had to talk myself into that being ok. I mean I loved Brian, I married him, he was Jack's father, it was ok that he looked just like him. But the next day he looked just like me and all was ok in my world :).

I had gestational diabetes so I hadn't had a soda in months. Brian knew that and got me one from downstairs. He's so cool.
