A Springer Spaniel won Best in Show

I miss Duncan a lot. It seems so silly, she was just a dog. But she was a dog I had before I met Brian, a dog I had before I had kids, so she was more than just a dog to me, she really was my best friend. I loved her so much.

I didn't get to watch Westminster live, but I taped the replays yesterday morning and this morning on USA. I thought the Cavalier was adorable in the toy group, but wasn't surprised when a toy poodle won that yesterday. This morning I watched James, a gorgeous Springer, win the sporting group and then go on to win Best in Show. I actually cried when he won.

All Springers have that same exact look, I could see Duncan in him, I was just so happy he won.

Brian knew that a springer won because he saw it "all over the internet" so he came upstairs and made sure I was taping it. He wasn't at all surprised when I cried after James won. What a guy, I am so lucky to have him.

That is a great photo of Duncan and Jack. I was very happy to see a Springer win Westminster too.
