I was in Mississippi and he was in San Diego. Jo and Joe took me and the kids to Rite-Aid to get the test because I was two days late. I am never late. Not being known for my patience, I took the kids to the bathroom with me at the store and took the test. Jack and Victor knew first. I tried to call Brian next, but I had left the cell phone in the car so Jo and Joe found out second. When we got to the car I called Brian but I got his voice mail, so I sent him a text message that said, "I'm pregnant." He called me right back :). He's so excited, so are the kids.

I called Nanette so she could look up my due date on the computer, it's April 3rd. She called Angie and then she conference called Karli, Jackie, Bestemor and Debbie. THEN I blogged it :). Jackie called Brian to congratulate him and joked with her that I blogged it before I told him.

We tried unsuccessfully for almost a year to get pregnant. We even started using a fertility monitor a few months back. Finally right before our Cape Cod vacation we decided to stop trying and I didn't pack the fertility monitor for the trip. We already had two beautiful boys and it was really depressing that we weren't able to get pregnant again. It was a big decision because I turned 40 this year, so it isn't like we could change our minds a few years down the road. Wouldn't you know that we got pregnant on our Cape Cod trip :). Guess it was meant to be.
