Brian's a little nervous now

When I came home Brian didn't seem as excited as he was when I called him on the phone. Of course his T1 was down and he was a little stressed about that but it seemed more than that.

When I asked him what was going on he said that it hit him that he was going to be raising a little girl and he was nervous about that.

Aw, Brian is going to be a really good Daddy to a girl too.

Brian, you will make a great Daddy to a girl. No reason to be nervous. After having Audrey, Craig and I were so nervous about the idea of having a boy, and I am sooooo happy we ended up with one of each. It makes for good balance in life, and a whole new outlook on everything. Girls present new challenges, and new rewards too.

Please tell Brian that the good news is by the time your daughter reaches "that age", you will already have two kids on whom your parenting skills would have been fine tuned. Plus, she will have watched her older brothers and learned what NOT to do (coming from the youngest sister of two boys)!

You'll love having a girl! And the boys will dote on her. I have 4 of them and love every minute of it! Just think of all the great clothing you can buy now! It is sooo much more fun to shop for girls!
