Woo hoo! There's something special about being way up there in the cab of a fire engine...especially a Pierce. That's one of the makes my fire district has!
When I read this comment I was thinking, wow, she really knows her fire engines because I didn't put up much of the truck. Then I saw the logo on the seat :). Hehehehe.
I believe there are firefighters who COULD recognize the manufacturer WITHOUT the logo...I can recognize Pierces by sound, but not just by seeing the interior. The sound is "emblazened" on my brain because I worked in the office right next to the apparatus room. Everytime the engine would leave or return, I would be right nearby. Around my neighborhood, I can hear a fire engine go by 2 blocks away around the corner :) Oh, yeah...even with no siren!
