Crazy shoes

I tried on some crazy shoes today at the mall. They looked much better on display than they did on my actual feet. Brian described them as I tried them on and then twittered his descriptions. He had me in hysterics. People were looking at us and not because the kids were climbing on the chairs like monkeys while they were waiting for me.

This is what he twittered: Niki looking at crazy shoes: 1) "Hercules' wife." 2) "Sneakers disfigured in a car accident." 3) "Ballerina got committed to insane asylum."

This was not a case of "oh, really?", but for a fleeting moment, I thought this was a case of another edgy retailer that would actually name their clothes like that. Sort of like the weird names used by "got2b" hair products. Pretty darned clever of Brian.
