The butterflies we raised

Several months ago I ordered a Bugville Butterfly kit to raise our own butterflies. The kit came and just like with the ant farm, we had to send off for the insects, in this case the caterpillars. I put it on my list to do after Liv came and was reminded when Linda and Sam had us over to release their butterflies. I finally sent the money to Insect Lore and we got our caterpillars about three weeks later. They started off really small but each day they grew noticeably bigger until they were the biggest caterpillars I have ever seen. Then they turned themselves into chrysalis' and we put them into our butterfly tent. About a week later they came out and we watched them dry their wings and then start flying. We kept them for an additional 2 days just to make sure they were ready (as per instructions) and then we released them.

We saw the commercial on TV last night. Your kit looked way cooler in person!
