Fall shopping is done

We went to the Gap Kids and Baby Gap today and got Jack some solid thermals for the fall. I got those because he likes to wear his super hero t-shirts over long sleeved shirts in the winter. I also got Liv a few items mostly for next summer that were on sale. Tor is getting Jack's old clothes so he was set from there. Then this afternoon I got Jack some Levi's online from Kohl's. I did a little bit more shopping for the kids (mostly Jack) tonight from Chasing Fireflies, Hanna Andersson and Mini-Boden.

Jack is set with all new clothes, Tor is getting all Jack's stuff and a few new things and Liv is getting Andi and Caroline's stuff and a few new things too. Yay I am done with the clothes. Now all they need are new shoes and then snow suits later on. I usually wait until it is actually Fall and then all the cute stuff I want in the colors I want are gone but not this year. It took a few years and three kids but I am learning :).

Being ready for school is such a nice feeling. I still enjoy back-to-school season. Fortunately, I had struck a deal with both of my kids that if I did more clothes/shoe shopping than I normally would before going on vacation, I'd do less right before school. They both wanted new clothes before vacation, so, that made it less hectic in August.
School supplies, however are a different story. Enjoy Jack's simple supply list while you can. Among other things, Joe's 4th grade list required "(10) three-hole punched, clear plastic index dividers with pockets on both sides" for his "1-1/2" plain three-ring binder with pockets on the inside of each cover". Thank goodness the list didn't say "non-colored" because the only ONE variety Staples had was with clear colors ($8.00 total for just the dividers). And, you can imagine how many different styles of index dividers they make in this universe. The supply list just arrived in the mail this last Thursday, and school starts next Wednesday. I was grateful to find them at the first office-supply store I went to...I didn't feel like spending $5.00 in gas searching for them besides. I think that's the most anxiety-filled school-supply trip I've had in my entire life...over one item :{ But it is done :)
